Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter for the UFC's flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC fellow fighter is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai boxer started her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament by unanimously defeating Suzane Miller. Antonina then won the Silver Medal in 2007, a bronze Medal in 2008, and a Golden medal in 2011, in the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional journey at the age of 23 in 2003. Antonina has been awarded numerous awards, such as the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The winner was a an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko won her first professional MMA fight in 2002 against Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She took the fight by TKO after round two and her following two matches were staged at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko took a hiatus to pursue boxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui at Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui by an unanimous decision. She was then able to defeat Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4, in a unanimous decision. In 2018, she resigned from the tournament and started competing in Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's striking skills were superior and enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. After this win, Antonina was offered an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut UFC at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko won the fight via unanimous decision but lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina returned to the ring after her loss and beat Lucie Puddilova in UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission in the second round. This fight earned Antonina the Bonus Fight of the Night. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski but she also defeated Ariane. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
